AWARDS

Annual Awards to meritorious teachers of NVS was introduced in the year 1998 and continued for a couple of years.  Since JNVs have been established to cater quality education of students mostly from rural backgrounds, the task of Navodaya teachers has all together been very challenging.  This goes beyond doubt that many teachers of our system have made commendable contributions towards developing Navodaya Vidyalayas into future centres of excellence by way of producing excellent CBSE results.  The commitment, devotion and dedication of such teachers, if goes un-honoured and unsung, the morale of the teaching community may get adversely affected.  It is firmly believed that the acknowledgement of good work of teachers through incentives/awards renews their pride, confidence and energy and transmits positive publicity to a wider circle.  The Annual Awards system was reintroduced in 2003.
